Ok so I know its about three months too late to be posting a "Best of '09" list, but hey, I never said I was punctual. I just came across this list by The Hype Machine of the top 50 musical acts of 2009 based on how many times their songs were posted. For the countdown, artists were brought in and created pieces inspired by each band. I picked out some highlights:
