How To Be Alone

Kinda weird, kinda awkward, kinda awesome.

Kinda like me.

(via swiss miss)

This Week in Failure:

What I thought I was buying off ebay:
"La dee da look at me I bought a new leather satchel for my books and scholarly stuff and it was only 15 dollars yeah thats right I'm awesome and ebay is prett cool too"

What I actually got:
"Wtf. The pictures online made this bag look gargantuan, but it is in fact the worlds tiniest purse. I mean was this thing made for carrying around breath mints? How did the seller have the gall to call this thing a satchel? Dear God I basically purchased a wallet on a string. I have been duped, and its all ebay's fault"

A Note From The Management

The intense summer heat seems to have affected my desire to keep posting here regularly, so I've decided to take it easy here at Crooked Lurve until the end of the season. It seems that mostly I created this blog as an escape (from schoolwork, stress, and the like) and right now there ain't a whole lot I need to escape from. I probably still will post from time to time when it strikes my fancy, and I will still post regularly on my tumblr, the untold want. Enjoy your summahs, and I'll see yous back here in the fall.

Chalkboard Walls.

I am obsesssed with the chalkboard walls in Anthropologie's July catalogue. When I grow up I want these in my house.

Getting Crafty.

When I finally have the money to start crafting (yes I am that poor), rosette pins and headbands are definately high up on the list.

Small Wonder.

The New York Times recently ran a feature on an absolutley darling little cottage in the Catskills built mostly out of salvaged wood. I am in love. The article boasts a slideshow of lovely pictures of the place that I unfortunately cant post here, so you should check them out yourself.

Wouldn't it be great to have a little retreat like this?

A Lyric A Day.

This guy on Flickr under the name Lukes Beard has decided that everyday for the year 2010 he is going to take a photo or create a piece of art inspired by a lyric of a song. Here are a few of my favorites:

Flight of the Conchords- This one might be me favorite.

Awake My Soul.

Friction

This blows my mind.

Illustrations by Matthew Lyons. They kinda give off a "The Incredibles" vibe no?

Home

It seems like everyone and their mom is obsessed with this song. I think it's ok, but I really just like the video. I wish I could roam about with my friends all day.
