The Alphabet As Seen From Space

Rhett Dashwood's Google Maps Typography- This guy used Google Maps to find letter formations in the Earth. Some of these are creeeeeeepy (like the "i"). These are just from Victoria, Australia. Imagine what we would find if we searched the world?

What Would I Do?

"If success or failure of this planet and of human beings
depended on how I am and what I do...
How would I be?
What would I do?"

The Butler and The Chef

Ok so I know I'm not moving for like 4 more months, but I can't stop myself from looking for cool things I can put in my new house next semester. I came across these rad enamel tables from The Butler and The Chef. Very vintage, old-timey cafe, no? How cool would it be to have one of these (the perrier one is my fave)in your kitchen?

What A Weekend

Well that was an eventful couple of days. The highlight was definitely seeing the Felice Brothers in concert. Even though I went alone I had the time of my life. I've decided to not let going alone get in the way of going to a concert again because in the end, the music is all that matters. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had a marvelous 4/20 (as for me, I ran some marvelous errands and took a marvelous nap). Alas my friends it is time to hunker down once more- just a few weeks more and it will be summer.

They Grow Up So Fast

A new chapter in my life is about to start folks. Last week I emptied out my bank account and paid the first month's rent on the house I am living in next semester. For the first time in my life I'm going to be living in my own place with my own room! I am fabulously excited. I've begun looking for ways to decorate my new room and I've found that garlands are a pretty rad and original way to add some flair. Below are a few examples I found off etsy:

Vintage cards strung on a crimson ribbon? Très Chic.

Sweet and Simple. From the shop Addie Bugs

This atlas garland may satiate my need for a roadtrip. Or it could make it worse. One of the two. From Redux Papers

The peeps over at Ay Mujer make beautiful handmade custom garlands. This one is my favorite so far. Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have a winner.

Kings Of Leon

While it's kinda painful to see the trajectory these guys have gone on during the past year ("sex on fire" was pretty much the beginning of the end), Caleb's voice still gives me the chills.

Oh Hellllll No

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs was one of my favorite books growing up. Hell, it's still one of my favorite books. I remember the only good thing about going to the doctor's office was that they had it in the waiting room. When I heard that a movie was being made out of the book I was excited, but after watching the trailer I realized that Sony Animation has made a true mockery out of a literary classic. Pixar would have never let this happen. Better yet, they should have gottenSpike Jonze to do it, it would have been legendary. Blasphemy! Do you hear me, Sony Animation? Blasphemy I say!

(I put the trailer below in case you wanted to watch this mess)
